Mötley Crüe – Girls, Girls, Girls (1987) | First Pressing While it’s not my absolute favorite Crüe record, it’s easily near the top. After Theatre of Pain, which had some good tracks but felt like a weird shift in sound and image from Shout at the Devil, Girls, Girls, Girls felt raw and authentic. I was lucky enough to catch this tour at the Oakland Coliseum for Day on the Green. The lineup was insane: Mötley Crüe, Whitesnake, Poison, and Jetboy. Playing for roughly 60,000 screaming fans, they absolutely delivered. Years later, I read Nikki Sixx’s The Heroin Diaries and learned why they were late to the stage that day and how close he came to missing the gig entirely. Reading The Dirt or The Heroin Diaries really puts into perspective how chaotic their off stage lives were while they were bringing us these massive anthems. I remember taking the bus to the record store to buy this when I was a kid. This record brings back incredible memories of 1987. What a time to be alive! #vinyl #80s #recordcollection
