My parents were amazing. We stayed in this home until there were 10 children. My sisters remember inhaling“carcinogenic (coal burning furnace) fumes before we went to school in the morning standing over the metal registers.” Mom and dad saved enough money to buy a lot in a new development a few miles away from Germantown. We were movin’ on up like The Jeffersons. How mom & dad saved any money from his truck driving job is a miracle. Persistence and frugality pay dividends. #family
