SHE TOLD HER MOTHER SHE WAS GOING TO A PARTY.
SHE TOLD HER MOTHER SHE WAS GOING TO A PARTY. MORE THAN TWO DECADES LATER, GWENDOLYN CARSWELL HAS NEVER BEEN FOUND. Gwendolyn “Gwen” Carswell was 44 years old when she disappeared from Washington, D.C., in August 2004. Her sister remembers Gwen as outgoing, sociable and helpful. Most importantly, police say it was completely out of character for her to suddenly stop contacting her children. For years, her family was left with few answers. Then, in 2024, D.C. police renewed their public appeal and revealed that investigators believe Gwen may have been targeted by someone who knew her. Police asked people to think back to 2004. Did someone suddenly leave the area? Have an unexplained injury? Get rid of clothing or a vehicle? Did someone stay silent because they were afraid or protecting someone they knew? Investigators have also examined whether a violent crime Gwen survived years earlier could have any connection to her disappearance, although they have not publicly explained what led them to consider that possibility. 🎧 In this episode of Hunting 4 Answers, we look at Gwen’s disappearance, what investigators are asking people to remember and the questions her family has carried for more than 20 years. Someone may still know what happened to Gwen. It is not too late to speak up. #Hunting4Answers #GwendolynCarswell #GwenCarswell #MissingPerson #WashingtonDC #DCMissingPersons #BlackAndMissing #MissingBlackWomen #BringHerHome #RememberHerName #TrueCrimePodcast #shorts
