#sponsored Hey Western Mass! I’m here to tell you about some exciting events coming up this weekend. Head to downtown Springfield on Friday for Mummer Madness! The Mummers Parade starts at @thunderbirdsahl and visits restaurants around the city, ending at @mgmspringfield . This is a great way to kickoff St.Patrick’s Day Weekend! Beginning this Saturday, The Springfield Chamber Players will present their inaugural season at @52sumner ! The Classical and Celtic flutist, Ellen Redman, and her trio will perform music from the Emerald Isle. Saturday, the area’s best homecoming celebration begins at 11am! The 48th annual Holyoke St. Patrick’s Day Road Race will start at the beginning of Maple Street. A free shuttle service will be running from Holyoke Community College to the road race starting area. Following the road race, on Sunday the 72 annual @HolyokeStPatrickDayParade will take place! Tens of thousands of marchers, 25 to 30 floats, 35 to 40 marching bands, and not to mention 400,000 spectators you will experience. The parade typically kicks off around 11am so be sure to grab your spot and set up your chair! I hope all those celebrating St. Patrick’s Day this weekend have a blast! I’ll be back next week with more Western Mass events. #ad
