There are giant crocodiles… and then there’s Dundee. 🐊💥 Before heading to Australia’s Northern Territory with Gatorland Global, I had to spend some time with one of our own giants here at Gatorland. Keeping a massive saltwater crocodile active through training and enrichment is an important part of providing the best possible care, and Dundee is always ready to remind you just how powerful he really is. Saltwater crocodiles are the largest living reptiles on Earth and some of the biggest crocodiles in the world. They also have one of the strongest bite forces ever measured, reaching more than 3,700 PSI, making them the most powerful biting animal alive today. Their explosive speed, athletic jumps, and incredible strength have helped them survive for millions years. Every crocodile has its own personality, and working safely with these prehistoric reptiles is built on trust, consistency, and understanding their natural behaviors. It’s one of the many reasons I love what I do.
