This year we are reading more and I am going to tell you how! By joining our Read with Patty book club. You can join by clicking link in my profile. Every month we will select a book to read and at the end of each month we come together in conversation. And this month’s book club pick is Beginning Middle End by @valeria_luiselli . Valeria is truly one of my favorite authors. my God. Her writing feels a slow dance. That’s the only way I can describe it. There’s something so meditative about the way she writes. Her prose almost forces you to slow down. Beginning Middle End follows a mother and her 12-year-old daughter as they end up in Italy after the end of a marriage, trying to understand what it means to begin again. And I just love the relationship between this mother and her young daughter. The timing is also kind of perfect. If you watched Odyssey and left you yearning to to dive deeper into Greek mythology, this book takes us there, too. It’s amazing. A slow dance!!
