When Holly told me she felt something wasn’t right, she had a mother’s intuition I couldn’t fully understand at the time. Learning that our son RJ was autistic tested everything. Our marriage, our faith and my role as a father. There were moments of fear, uncertainty and questions we never imagined we’d have to ask. But we made one decision that changed everything... We stepped in with both feet. We chose to learn. We chose to fight. We chose to believe in RJ instead of limiting him. Today, seeing RJ thrive with the Dodgers - where he’s been building a career for more than a decade, earning championship rings and taking pride in being the best at what he does is a reminder that potential should never be defined by a diagnosis. As parents, our mission was never to make RJ fit into the world. It was to help him find the place where he could shine. Watching him live that dream is one of the greatest victories of my life. 🏈 Subscribe to Rodney Peete Sports today - an exclusive community for the next generation of athletes.
