94 HJY’s Paul & Al, whose legendary career hosting mornings on The Home of Rock ‘n Roll has spanned 36 years, announced their retirement this morning on the anniversary of their start on HJY way back on July 15, 1990. They’d like to thank all of their loyal listeners, co-workers, family, and friends for their support over the course of this wild ride. And special thanks to @nbc10wjar “NBC 10 Sunrise” and their awesome reporter, Kennedy Buck, for coming in to cover the retirement announcement this morning. The final broadcast of “The Paul & Al Show” on 94 HJY will be on Thursday, August 27th, appropriately wrapping up with their signature segment, “Stump the DJ. “The Paul & Al It’s About Freakin’ Time Retirement Party” for listeners will be held at Track 15 in Providence on August 21st with AC/DC cover band Dirty Deeds.
