Comment ☀️ D3 if you’re tired of feeling tired and want to understand what vitamin D may mean for your health. This clip is from our Fill Your CUP session and the launch of our Vitamin D Education Women’s Health Initiative, in partnership with Assemblywoman Michaelle C. Solages @solagesny and the New York State Black, Puerto Rican, Hispanic & Asian Legislative Caucus @bphacaucus . Together, we’re helping more women ask questions, understand their levels, and make informed choices about their health. Sis, when you’re showing up for everybody else, it’s easy to brush off your own exhaustion. But you deserve to know what your body needs. In one study, 83% of African American women had vitamin D levels at or below 20 ng/mL, compared with 40% of European American women studied. That doesn’t mean every Black woman is deficient, but it gives us a reason to pay attention. Vitamin D3 plays a role in your health from head to toe: 🦴 Bone health: D3 helps your body absorb calcium, while K2 activates proteins involved in maintaining strong bones. 🛡️ Immune health: Vitamin D helps regulate immune function. 🌿 Inflammation: Vitamin D plays a role in how your body regulates inflammation. ⚖️ Hormonal health: Vitamin D helps support healthy hormone function. 🫀 Heart health: Vitamin D supports normal heart and blood vessel function. K2 activates proteins involved in blood vessel health. 🧠 Brain health: Vitamin D is needed for normal brain function. Because melanin reduces how much vitamin D your skin makes from sunlight, Black women may be more likely to have lower levels. You don’t have to guess or keep pushing through. Ask your healthcare provider whether checking your vitamin D level makes sense for you. Comment D3 for our free guide to understanding D3 + K2 and taking your next step toward Better Health. 🌱 #VitaminDDeficiency #BlackWomensHealth #VitaminD3K2 #Women
