Nolan Wells’ father, Elmore Wonsley, is detailing the inconsistencies he says made him stop believing Jax Pitalo's account of what happened the day his son disappeared. While speaking at the NABJ Convention on Thursday (August 13), Wonsley pointed to three claims that raised concerns: Jax allegedly said Nolan stayed behind with a girl, which Wonsley said was out of character; said Nolan didn’t have his phone, despite Wonsley saying his son always carried it; and initially said he didn’t have the keys to the car where Nolan’s belongings were stored. Wonsley said the keys were eventually found at the home on top of an Xbox. “You done lied to me three times. I don’t believe nothing that you tell me,” he recalled thinking at the time.
