🚨 WATER ALERT FOR MONTGOMERY + PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTIES What’s happening: WSSC Water is asking its 1.9 million customers to conserve water immediately after a power issue disrupted operations at the Potomac Water Filtration Plant. WSSC serves customers across both Montgomery and Prince George’s counties. WSSC Water 💧 What they’re asking: For now, use water for essential purposes only. That means this is probably not the moment to start the dishwasher, throw in three loads of laundry or take the everything shower. Why it matters: Water storage is a critical buffer when the system faces emergencies, including power outages, helping maintain supply when normal operations are disrupted.
