🐊 Y’all, meet Cletus. Now don’t get us wrong, this handsome guy looks exactly like a Cletus. And honestly… Cletus is a great name. But in our 77 years of experience, when an alligator shows up already named and answering to his name, chances are somebody in the community has been feeding it. And that’s a BIG problem because feeding wild alligators is illegal in Florida. Alligators are naturally afraid of humansbut when people feed them, they lose that fear and start approaching people looking for food. That’s when it becomes dangerous for both the alligator and the community. Thankfully, Cletus got a lucky break. Through our Gatorland Global Alligator Rescue Program, with the help of our friend AJ, an FWC nuisance trapper, and support from Mike at Flogrown, Cletus will now live out his days in alligator paradise right here at Gatorland. ❤️🐊 Remember: A fed gator is a dead gator. Never feed wild alligators. And if you want to feed alligators the right way, come join us at Gatorland Adventure Hour—where you can safely get behind the fence and feed some of the biggest alligators in the park. It’s wild, it’s safe, and it’s unforgettable. #gatorland #alligators #alligatorrescue #florida #gatorlandglobal
