Thank you to everyone who has reached out with love, support and shared experiences as we try to better understand what Mya has been going through lately. It means more than you know. 💜 After some hard days, today was a really good one. Mya spent time with Nana, got to see some of her favorite teachers before school starts tomorrow, hung out at her little brother’s football practice and had dinner with family. Nothing extraordinary happened—and maybe that’s what made it so special. When you’re raising a child who has days where things are harder than they should be, you learn to really notice the good ones. The days where she feels good, smiles, laughs and is simply happy to be surrounded by her people. One of the greatest blessings of Mya is the innocence and purity of her heart. She doesn’t need much to be happy. She loves her people. She loves being included. And the things that matter most to her are probably the things that should matter a little more to all of us. We know every day won’t look like today. That’s exactly why we cherish the ones that do. Today, our girl was happy. Really happy. And sometimes that’s more than enough. 💜 #MeetMya #AutismAwareness #IntellectualDisability #IntellectualDisabilityAwareness #EpilepsyAwareness
